Official Gmail Blog: Update on today's Gmail outage

Gmail went out today for longer than you might ever expect from this service. Fortunately, though, it looks like they were trying to do something nice - make our data connections stay closer to us. This seems like a good thing, because in the long term our data and information will travel through less of the internet's pipes, thus taking up less of the limited bandwidth our internet has.

On a side note, hopefully President Obama's stimulus will include a lot for the additional bandwidth and fiber optic lines we need.

Ryan Kopf ran for mayor of Muscatine at age 19, winning a nice amount of support and gathering experience talking to voters and more. Most importantly, he helped raise awareness of drug problems, the need for youth activities, and much more through the course of his campaign.
